Living By Grace Update
Pastor
Bill Barnett of Oneonta, Alabama,
where the message of living by grace was taught last week, called to tell how
his people have responded to the teaching. Beginning
a study time this past Sunday evening, he asked if there were those who would
like to testify of how the Lord is using the message in their lives. They took
the entire study time giving testimonies. He
then related an incident that happened to a man as he was pulling construction
equipment in a trailer from Birmingham to Oneonta. The trailer began to swerve
in the road. It threw the car into the grass between the lanes of a four-lane
highway. He cried out to the Lord. Miraculously, the car and trailer
straightened out. As
the man told of the incident, he said, “And when I said, ‘Oh God,’ I was
not looking up. I was looking out.” He meant that he was experiencing life
from his enthroned position in the heavenlies. Pastor
Bob Joyce of Denton, Texas emailed a message telling of
God’s blessings on his church. Many are coming to the Lord. Last Sunday they
had their first service in a new building. Bob
testified that through the message of grace, God is continuing to change him. He
related one specific event indicating the change. Recently
he apologized to a couple that had left his church. He told them that he had
been wrong. Sunday they were back in church, after being gone for a year. And
they apologized to the church for letting the church down. Bob then told the
church of his apology to the couple. Then he apologized to the church. Bob
said, “Our church is in revival.”
