Living By Grace Update

Gary Christensen, a layman of Corvallis, Oregon, called this week. A few weeks ago he called. In the first call he told of how he had gotten a copy of “Our Oneness With Christ,” his experience in reading it, and how God touched his life through reading it. In that first call he said the following:

I only ordered the book because a young lady named Amber kept insisting that I do so. When the book arrived, I did not bother to read it. Then one day as I left for work I saw the book and decided to take it for something to read during lunch break. I read a few pages that day. The next day I did the same. After reading several chapters, the thought dawned on me that I was “in Christ” and because I was “in Christ” I was already crucified, buried, and resurrected. My life was profoundly affected by that new understanding.

Gary sends out a very effective weekly devotional through email. He began encouraging his readers to order a free copy of the book “Our Oneness With Christ.” Immediately, we began to receive requests. We now have sent over 150 free copies of the book to Gary’s readers in at least 35 states, Puerto Rico, Canada, and England.

In Gary’s phone call this week he referred again to those first days after understanding that he was already crucified, buried, and resurrected. He said:

The blessing of knowing that truth so affected me that for a week or ten days it was as though I was walking about three feet off the ground. I plan to do everything I can to spread the message that Christians are “in Christ” and are already crucified, buried, and resurrected.

I thank God for Amber’s insistence that Gary order the book. I thank God for what He has done and is doing for and through Gary Christensen of Corvallis, Oregon.
