June 24 I preached both morning services at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in
Ennis, Texas where Dr. James Pool is pastor……
While there I saw Jim Garrison. Jim
has joined a ministry taking food along the US-Mexico border. He also will
have opportunity to spread copies of the Spanish version of “Our Oneness
With Christ.” Through ties in that ministry he had an opportunity last week
to share the message of living by grace….. Also I saw Mark—a
young businessman in Ennis. Months ago Jim Garrison
had brought Mark to Dallas to visit with me. At
that time I shared the message of grace with him. He understood. On Sunday he
told me that he is experiencing change in his life through the message….. I
met another young professional man who told me that on a business trip the
week before he had begun reading “Oneness” while alone in his motel room.
He was thrilled at learning the message….. I saw Rod
Cordsen. Rod is another young businessman
in Ennis. Rod teaches a Sunday School class of
young adults. Ordinarily they have about 100 in attendance. For months he has
been sharing with them the message of living by grace. Rod’s
life has been so transformed that, under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, he
has purchased a Christian Book Store. He will specialize in promoting books
that teach the message of the believer’s oneness with Christ.
Dr.
Pool has been giving
a strong emphasis to the theme of being filled with the Spirit. In both
services I preached on “How to be filled with the Spirit.” The response
was very pleasing. Several people indicated that God had blessed them. We
trust that some entered the life of faith.
